Design Opportunities

Becoming a member of Umbra's award-winning design team begins with a submission of your resume and sample portfolio (in PDF Format). We are looking for creative and innovative individuals with 2 or more years of experience in either Industrial Design or Graphic Design. The ideal candidate will have an educational background in either area, and provide an eye-catching portfolio of work they have accumulated over the years. Applicants must understand the Umbra image and be able to express aspects of Umbra through their work, attitude, and personal style.

Design Internships

Umbra prides itself on offering internships to current third-year design students and recent graduates of both Industrial Design and Graphic Design programs. We are always looking for "up-and-comers" who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team. (Many of our former interns have gone on to become full-time members of the Umbra Design Team!) Design Internships are offered at our Toronto location only. We offer 4-month internships beginning in January, May and September of each year.

Student Opportunities

We have a limited number of Co-op, Intern, and Summer Student positions available in several departments, such as Accounts Payable, Credit, Marketing, Materials Management and Information Technology. Applicants should be enrolled in a related program prior to applying. All positions are paid and the duration of the commitment ranges from 2-6 months, with opportunities for renewal.
